What does this tell us about our target audience?

If we decided as a group to make an opening to a crime thriller then violence and high impact action is to be expected so we would have to take that into consideration with the age rating as it can be unsuitable for younger audiences. As well as this as the majority of thrillers at rated age15, it suggests that their content is needed for it to be a successful thriller and we can take this into consideration when making our opening.

 $40,010,975 (USA) (20 January 2017)

Rating Certificate15 for disturbing thematic content and behavior, violence and some language.

What does this tell us about our target audience?

If our group decided to go down the rout of a physiological thriller for our film opening we would have to take into consideration the age rating and the fact that it may not be suitable for all ages depending on language, violence and in particular thematic behavioural scenes. As well as this however, the topic of our film is vital as Split is based around mental health disorders and in particular multiple personality disorder which is a sensitive topic and we would have to be carful.
